Nicely made hat. Chin strap holds it on well in windy conditions. Fits well with the ear flaps up or down. Ear flaps work well. Has become my go to hat and I have many hats. Material not quite as thick in the crown as some of my other hats (Pendleton, Stetson) but still very nice and holds shape. Brim will momentarily flap up or down in heavy winds.If I were to lose this hat, would not hesitate to buy a replacement.
