The hat arrived earlier than expected from the vendor. I have other Stetson hats, so I knew my hat size and this hat fit perfectly. The brim is shaped well, exactly what I was looking for. It offers excellent protection from the sun and it keeps the sun from the eyes and off the back of the neck. The color is great. The band has XXXX, which is different from my other buffalo collection hat which has 4XXXX on the band. Also, the actual hat size indicator states that the hat is 100% WOOL. My other hat states it is 4XXXX Buffalo felt. The Amazon site also states this is a buffalo felt hat, so now I am wondering if there is any buffalo felt in this hat at all. If there isn't, I am going to be sorely disappointed. I know that 4XXXX means that there isn't a lot of buffalo felt in this hat, but the benefit of buffalo felt is that it repels water. I wear my hats outdoors, and now I am worried because wool doesn't tolerate rain too well, in my experience. Has anyone worn this hat in the rain? I am not talking a downpour, just a run of the mill rainstorm.
