I purchased this fairly recently following a check-up with kiddo's pediatrician, so I had his exact head circumference on hand. I purchased the size up so he can grow into it, and also because our child's head has been in the higher percentiles. The fabric is a linen blend, so be sure not to put it in the dryer, but oh so soft. The rust orange is a great neutral color. The brim is also stiff enough that we can fold the front up to see his face more. The tightener for the chin strand is easy to move up and down. Plus, any kiddo looks SO STINKING CUTE in this hat. Will definitely buy again as my kiddo grows up.
