Very good helmetI looked into buying an Sentinel 2 years ago and decided on a Digital Infinity... Well, the other day I put my old hood on and it was, is and always will be in dark mode. I take the batteries out and it goes light, put them in and it goes dark. Anyway I bought this and HOLY SMOKE! I can see way better, my neck doesn't hurt at the end of the day and (I don't understand it) but the clear view technology lets me see parts of the weld puddle I couldn't see before. I can wear my glasses comfortably, the head gear is totally comfortable, the touch screen is awesome and easy to use. It also comes with plenty of replacement lenses. Why did I wait so long???I have been welding for about 15 years now, not professionally. I've usually stuck with a cheaper helmet because I didn't see the need to drop $350 on a hobby. After using this one I really wish I had bought one sooner.I have bought 3 helmets in the past year and two of them were just trash. One was even like $150 and it flashed me so many times in one day of welding I got really fed up and bought this one. The quality and function is a pretty drastic difference.I am using this for about 95% TIG, 5% MIG. I have gone as low at 45 amps and this helmet has no problems dimming reliably, I have been flashed zero times so far. The touchscreen controls have also functioned well, but I also really don't adjust them very often. The viewing area is a little smaller than what I am used to but the clarity and color are way better than anything I have had before. The headgear is also extremely comfortable. I've worn this for a 3 or 4 hour stint crawling around under my car and I barely notice it. My old helmet would frequently give me headaches because I had to ratchet it down so tight to stay on my head when crawling around in various positions. The open detent is solid and stays upMy only complaint is that I have to be more careful when putting it down because it will easily roll onto the front shield. But really with it being more comfortable, I find myself taking it off less.I love this helmet. I couldn't decide between this and the Panoramaxx so I bought both. This one has killer head gear with the ability to fine tune the tightness for an excellent tight fit that doesn't squeeze your brains out and give you the killer pressure headache with other ratcheting tightening systems. It also has in and out adjustment so you can pull it away from your face to fit a face mask if you need or make it very close for the best visibility. View area is good, but I wish this had the Panoramaxx area. Responsive shade and memory functions so you can easily setup profiles for each welding type you're doing. I also LOVE that it comes with multiple extra lenses in both clear AND yellow. Every other helmet you have to buy them separately so I really appreciated that. Haven't had it flash me and the arc sensors are very fast acting don't have to close your eyes while you strike up an arc. Also comes with a very decent helmet bag, not a crappy ones that tear if you look at it wrong. I actually use it.All in all, this is a 100% buy for pros, hobbyist or anyone else who needs a great fitting, well kitted out helmet. I do recommend this over the Panoramaxx for a few main reasons - one, better adjustability. The ratchet system on the Pano isn't fine enough and it's always too loose or too tight. My head is between the adjustment. This one let's you fine tune it for the perfect firm grip and distance from your face. And it's comfy! Second, this comes with extra lenses both inside and outside. Everyone else makes you buy them separately and this you're getting 4 extra with the box! Both yellow and clear. Third, this has a detent that keeps the lid up when you're not using so you're not constantly having to pull it back up while not welding. It stays up great and a firm flick of the head is enough to overcome the detent and cover up. Last, the sensors are great. They don't turn on when you look at a light nor does it flicker. The color is great and the shade works like a champ.Definitely buy this guy. You'll be mega happy you did. This replaced a cheaper Hobart hood. Overall I like the hood, the digital display is nice and the push button grind mode is handy. It is slightly heavier but not unbearable for all day use. I have had it have slow response to repeated tacks but that could be due to my sensitivity settings which are very adjustable. But this is a definite must for the professional welder/fabricator. Spend the money and get the quality that esab is known for.The full color spectrum and filters give your work perfect clarity and the way the helmet rotates is very comfortable.Upgrading from a Hobart Creator and noticed a night and day difference. The additional straps and thick padding make it very secure snd padding makes it comfortable to wear for hours at time. The curved shield really helps to deflect spatter and stays surprisingly clean. The digital push-button controls are great since they don’t accidental get changed when taking the helmet on and off or taking in and out of my welding bag. Most important, this helmet gives great contrast even when using a darker shade setting. My only complaint is that the helmet sometimes makes contact with my face when doing a flip-down even with knobs cranked down tightly.Very comfortable headgear best I have ever used. Helmet has good visibility of the weld puddle. Relatively light and well balanced on your head. Does not tire my neck like my Lincoln helmet does. Grind button is a nice feature. I borrowed a Esab helmet and I was impressed and I ordered one for myself shortly after.Amazing vision , I use it to tack on every day , it’s light weight and has a lot of settings , I use my air fed speed glass to weld , only down side out side protector screen can scratch easy,Je ne sais pas pourquoi le client s'est plein, à mon avis il essaie d'avoir une cagoule en Rabe...Bref, c'est une cagoule de qualité professionnelle et obligatoire pour de la soudure quotidienne. Voilà, tester c'est l'adopter !Prompt delivery, Its comfortable, lightweight and pretty. The bestWell worth the money
